TripSpotter Privacy Policy
TripSpotter is built by Sam Grover as a personal utility. This service is provided as-is.
Information Collection and Use
TripSpotter does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information to external servers.
- CloudKit Syncing: TripSpotter uses Apple’s CloudKit service to store your trips, license plate sightings, observations, and participant names. This data is stored securely in your personal iCloud database and is only shared with participants you explicitly invite to your trip. We do not have access to this data.
- Location Data: The app requests location access to record the GPS coordinates of plate sightings. This data is stored locally on your device and synced via your iCloud account; it is never shared with third parties.
