BasicBot Terms of Service
BasicBot is a Discord bot operated by Sam Grover. By using it in a Discord server, you agree to these terms. They cover every copy of the bot.
Using the bot
- You must follow Discord’s Terms of Service and Community Guidelines, and the rules of the server you’re in.
- Don’t use the bot to harass people, post illegal or harmful content, spam, or get around a server’s moderation.
- Don’t try to break, overload, or exploit the bot, or game its XP and leaderboards with automation.
- Server admins decide which of the bot’s features are turned on in their server and can remove the bot at any time.
AI-written replies
Some replies, such as !ask answers and recap intros, are written by Google Gemini. They can be wrong, out of date, or odd. Don’t rely on them for medical, legal, financial, or safety advice.
Your content
You keep ownership of what you post. You let the bot store and process it as described in the Privacy Policy, only to run its features.
No guarantees
The bot is a free hobby project provided as-is. It may change, go offline, lose data, or be shut down at any time without notice. XP, levels, roles, and game results have no monetary value.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, Sam Grover is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the bot.
Ending access
Access to the bot can be removed from anyone who breaks these terms, or the bot can be removed from a server.
Changes
These terms may change. If they do, the date at the top of this page changes with them, and continuing to use the bot means you accept the new version.
